After dominating the Jungle role for the last couple of patches, Udyr is finally getting some major nerfs on patch 11.5.
Udyr probably was considered the worst champion in League of Legends before the 2021 preseason, and the whole community wanted a rework. In fact, he did win the VGU poll and will become the first champion to receive a rework in early 2022.
However, things changed for Udyr in the preseason. Udyr received multiple buffs in season 10, while the new jungle change in season 11 and the new Turbo Chemtank build helped him quite significantly to become the meta jungler in League of Legends. Currently, he is one of the fastest jungler who just runs around on the map and slaps everyone in the Summoner’s Rift.
Even with the slight nerf of Patch 11.3, Udyr currently has a 54.01% win rate in Plat+ Elo while having a massive 62.7% ban rate. That ban rate alone reflects how much players hate to face him in the ranked games.
Furthermore, he also has a 54.2% presence in the pro games, where he has been banned 427 times till now across all regions.
After dominating League of Legends for the last couple of patches, League of Legends’ Gameplay Design Director Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has confirmed that Udyr is getting some major nerfs on patch 11.5.
