I’m ranking the top 10 players in the 2024 ALGS Split One Playoffs. In my opinion, they are the best players in the game right now.
ALGS 2024 Split 1 Playoffs came to an end with Reject Winnity’s grand finish in the match point finals. All players showed valiant effort throughout the tournament. However, only a selected few stood out from the crowd. In this article, I’ll highlight ten such players who will always be remembered for their incredible performances in the ALGS 2024 Split 1 Playoffs.

1. Lyka
Rei “Lykq” Yokoyama, the Japanese Apex Legends player from Fnatic, was the best player in the 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. Though his team came up just short, finishing in 3rd place, Lykq’s performance was extraordinary. He recorded a total of 72 kills during the tournament, with 16 of them in the final round, demonstrating just how driven he was to win.
2. Genburten
Noyan “Genburten” Ozkose, the Australian/Turkish Apex Legends player from DarkZero Esports, didn’t disappoint. He delivered when his team needed him most. With a total of 66 kills and 15 kills in the final round, he proved he was still among the best players in the 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. Unfortunately, his team fell just short, finishing in 2nd place in the tournament.
3. SangJoon
Returning to the playoffs after a great Year 3, Han “SangJoon” Sang-jun, a Korean player, may not be the best player overall, but his team, Reject, finished first in the 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. He was consistent throughout the tournament, accumulating a total of 45 kills, 15 of which came in the finals. With SangJoon leading the charge, Reject dominated on the last day of the tournament, securing the match point win in the finals.
4. Zer0
Statistically, the best player in North America, Rhys “Zer0” Perry, needs no introduction. Renowned for his incredible mechanics, impressive resume, and trash-talking prowess, the three-time LAN winner and elite in-game leader (IGL) from DarkZero Esports is undoubtedly the villain of the NA region. With a total of 58 kills, including 10 in the final round, he clearly showed his hunger for the prize, but his team came up just short, finishing in 2nd place.
5. Ojrein
Aurora Gaming as a team didn’t do well and placed 7th in the 2024 ALGS Split One Playoffs, but Svyatoslav “ojrein” Korochinsky showed why he’s among the best players in the game. With a total of 57 kills, including 17 in the finals, he helped pull his team through a difficult tournament.
6. Koyful
Israel “Koyful” Lawrence, the half-American, half-Korean gaming prodigy, eliminated 56 players, with 16 of those kills in the final round. He single-handedly carried his team, Legends Gaming, to a fifth-place finish. If you watched the 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, you would know just how well he performed in every scenario. Not to mention, him killing Zer0 in the finals costed DarkZero the 1st place victory.
7. Obly
Lim “Obly” Jung-hyun, a member of Reject Winnity, the winning team in the 2024 ALGS Split One Playoffs, played a significant role in their success. He secured a total of 51 kills, with 12 kills in the final round, showcasing his excellent performance. His top-notch gameplay played a key part in Reject’s tournament victory.
8. Wxltzy
The lethal Australian controller player, Wxltzy, burst onto the scene during the Year 2 Championships, joining the fan-favorite Team Burger after being picked up by Moist. Wxltzy serves as a second voice to his IGL, Emtee, and flourishes in the team’s stable professional environment, allowing him to shine. With a total of 42 kills and a leading 17 kills in the final round, you’d better show some respect.
9. Dezignful
The American player, Tyler “Dezignful” Gardner, from Disguised, is another outstanding player who didn’t get a great placement (8th) in the tournament but still won our hearts. His solo plays were remarkable. With a total of 53 kills, including 9 in the final round, he tried his best in the 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs.
10. Sikezz
Nicholas “Sikezz” Odom is another American player who is part of DarkZero Esports, the runner-up in the 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. Despite having two exceptional teammates, Sikezz kept pace and provided strong support to his team, accumulating a total of 53 kills. I’m really surprised that DarkZero didn’t win the tournament with players of this caliber on the team.
These players have proven their mettle throughout the Split 1 Playoffs, and I hope they continue to showcase their skills in future tournaments.
