Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game with a massive casual player base and a thriving competitive community.

Apex Legends has two different game modes: one for a casual quick run, and the other is the ranked variant, where players can compete against similarly skilled opponents in a structured manner.

While players can leave the normal game mode without receiving any penalties, the ranked mode has strict rules against AFKers and leavers. However, it is never fun for players to lose teammates amidst a battle, even in casual game mode.

Recently, a pro Apex Legends streamer made a snide comment regarding casual players raging over their teammates leaving the game. The Apex community erupted into a hot debate regarding punishing players for leaving during casual matches.

Following many requests from players, Respawn recently added a “no-fill” option for players who want to drop solo in a game. However, even after the no-fill option is added to the game, players can often be seen leaving their teammates behind.
