Riot is renaming one of the new Mythics, Icathia’s Endurance, to Jak’Sho, The Protean that’s coming in League of Legends.
League of Legends is approaching Preseason 2023 as the season is coming to an end. So far, Riot has released what their plans are for the preseason. All the content they mentioned is being tested and worked on behind the scenes on PBE or by the devs.
The major changes are the jungle changes and the re-inclusion of the Chemtech Drake and Terrain. They are also going to be adding a lot of items to the game as well. Item additions are either new or current/old items being reworked and brought into the game.
Some of the key additions will be the likes of Heartsteel (renamed from Goliath’s Ascendancy), Rod of Ages, rework of Seraph’s Embrace and Archangels Staff, etc. One of those items that will be added is Icathia’s Endurance which has now been renamed to Jak’Sho, The Protean. Here is what we know about it.

Icathia’s Endurance Renamed to Jak’Sho, The Protean
The renaming of Icathia’s Endurance to Jak’Sho, The Protean, occurred in the PBE servers. It happens quite a few times by Riot, as they tend to change the name of an item. However, when it comes to stats, Jak’Sho, The Protean is still largely the same. Spideraxe revealed it along with the item’s icon and item description.
The item will be a tank item, and the flavor text is very intriguing, as Spideraxe mentioned. Lore-wise, it’s an interesting addition. Gameplay-wise, we have to see until the live servers get their hands on the item. We will have to wait until the preseason to see Jak’Sho, The Protean, in action.
