Aurelion Sol and Annie are getting hotfix nerfs only a day after their rework.
Patch 13.3 is finally here in League of Legends, with a bunch of exciting changes. These changes include the Tank support buffs, Tenacity adjustments, nerfs to Kassadin, K’Sante, etc. But two of the most anticipated changes were the Aurelion Sol & Annie updates.
Both Aurelion Sol & Annie’s updates were supposed to ship on Patch 13.2, but due to the recent Social Engineering Attack, Riot had to delay the rework till Patch 13.3.
Aurelion Sol received the most comprehensive adjustments of the two updates. He received a CGU, which stands for Comprehensive Gameplay Update, whereas Annie received a Mini-Rework. Both the updates were quite successful and helped increase their play rate significantly.
Aurelion Sol currently stands atop all the other Mid laners in popularity, with an 18% pick rate. He also has a high ban rate of 52% and a solid win rate of 51%. A high ban rate for a newly released champion is quite normal, but having a positive win rate indicates that the champion is a tad too strong.
On the other hand, Annie has the highest win rate on both Support and Mid lane (55% & 56%, respectively). She also has a decent ban rate of 10%.
