Riot Games unveils the newest Summoner’s Cup for League of Legends in collaboration with Tiffany & Co., debuting in Worlds 2022.
Summoner’s Cup is an iconic and integral part of League of Legends. It is a trophy that is awarded to the winners of the League of Legends Worlds Championship.
The Summoner’s Cup was introduced initially in 2012 for their Season 2 World Championship. In addition, it is one of the biggest trophies in the world. It was created by the trophy creators Thomas Lyte. They also made the trophies for FA Cup (Football/Soccer), Ryder Cup (Golf), etc.
Ten years after its introduction, Riot Games has unveiled a new reimagined Summoner’s Cup in collaboration with Tiffany and Co., a famous jewelry crafter company. According to LoL Esports, The modern design was brought to life over a span of four months totaling 277 hours, by Holloware workshop craftspersons.
Originally the jewelry crafting company, Tiffany & Co. has been creating 65 trophies each year, making some very recognizable trophies such as NBA (Basketball), NFL (Rugby/Football), etc. League of Legends Pro League Silver Dragon Cup was also designed by Tiffany & Co.

Reimagined Summoner’s Cup 2022
This new trophy is designed to honor the past while looking forward to the next chapter of League of Legends Esports. According to Riot, this new trophy is made of sterling silver, fine silver, stainless steel, brass, and wood. In addition, the new Summoner’s Cup weighs 44 pounds and stands approximately 27 inches.
The Summoner’s Cup base features the previous winning team and pro players’ engraved names. It will be a new tradition awaiting future champions, solidifying their place in the legacy of the League of Legends Esports.

The new Summoner’s Cup theme is “Five United as One.” There are five pillars in the trophy. These five pillars also have the emblem of five major roles in the game (jungle, top, mid, ADC, and support).
These five pillars symbolize not only the five major roles but also the pro players as well. Previously in the old trophy, there were only two handles, but now there are five. With this design, players will have an easier time lifting it together simultaneously.
Trophy Debut Date
The Summoner’s Cup will make its physical debut at Worlds 2022. We will most likely see the trophy holding high on November 5.
In Game Trophy Release Date
Not only will the Summoner’s Cup make its physical debut at Worlds 2022, but also in the Summoner’s Rift. According to Riot, the Summoner’s Trophy will make its way into the game as a part of patch 12.18, which is scheduled to go live on September 20. Players will spot the trophy in the top lane during that time.
