The upcoming reworked Storm Dragon Aurelion Sol skin has a small easter egg on his ultimate.

Beyond regular buffs and nerfs, there are reworks in League of Legends. Some well-known rework types are VGU, ASU, mid-scope updates or mini reworks, and the recently announced CGU.

CGU, or Comprehensive Gameplay Update, is a new type of update where Riot overhauls a champion’s kit without changing its visuals. This update is aimed at more recent champions who couldn’t keep up with the meta. And the first champion they are trying this update out is Aurelion Sol.

Although Aurelion Sol’s CGU was teased during early season 12, Riot recently showcased his ability in the season 2023 roadmap video. And overall, his new kit is looking incredible.

Riot is reworking Aurelion Sol as a scaling champion, similar to Kindred. The similarity comes from both relying on gathering stacks that improve their base abilities. Generally, ASol’s new kit is far more potent than his current iteration.

Moreover, a couple of weeks later, the senior VFX artist at Riot Games, Sirhaian, revealed the new visual effects of all of the Aurelion Sol skins. And currently, players can test out the new Aurelion Sol in the PBE. And unpredictably, players have found a new easter egg regarding Aurelion Sol’s best skin Storm Dragon Aurelion Sol, and its ultimate.

Storm Dragon Aurelion Sol: Lee Sin Ultimate Easter Egg

Aurelion Sol’s new ultimate Falling Star crashes a star into the earth. The impact deals magic damage while also stunning the opponent. Moreover, if Aurelion Sol collects enough stardust, his ultimate Falling Star turns into The Skies Descend.

The Skies Descend acts similarly to Falling Star. However, the impact zone is much larger, and the damage is far more significant. Furthermore, instead of stunning the enemies, Skies Descend knocks them up. Additionally,  a shockwave then spreads from the edge of the impact zone, which damages and slows the enemies it hits.

Usually, in his ultimate, a giant meteor crashes into the earth. However, while using the Storm Dragon Aurelion Sol, there is a 1% chance that instead of a meteor, Storm Dragon Lee Sin crashes into the earth instead.

It is funny and fascinating, as in the Dragonmancer universe, Storm Dragon Aurelion Sol or Ao Shin is the master of Storm Dragon Lee Sin and countless other Dragonmancers. Overall, it is a unique little easter egg with a meager chance of happening in a regular game.
