Ubisoft has released a new teaser for Y6S2 North Star, giving us a first official look at the new operator called ‘Thunderbird’.

Ubisoft recently revealed the title for Rainbow Six Siege’s upcoming season, called North Star. And now we have a video teaser, hinting at Thunderbird’s role as a new healer in the Rainbow Six team.

The teaser shows Mina โ€˜Thunderbirdโ€™ Sky in action as she takes off in the orange rescue helicopter, which we first saw in the North Star reveal poster. โ€œPreparation, Speed, Precisionโ€. โ€œThese are essential when it comes to saving lives. And thatโ€™s how I fly,โ€ says Thunderbird.

The video also confirmed the previous leaks of the new operator being a defender. And further leaked screenshots of this operator’s gadget suggest that Thunderbird will be a new kind of healer operator, which matches Nomad’s description from the official blog post.

“Thunderbird is nothing if not resourceful. Iโ€™ve seen her splint a broken bone with two sticks and a shoelace. Her healing tech has come a long way since I first saw it. What impresses me most is the distribution method. She canโ€™t be everywhere at once so Iโ€™m grateful to have another medic on the field, we can use as many friends as we can get.”

The full season reveal for Rainbow Six Siege’s Y6S2 North Star will be held just before the Six Invitational Grand Finals on May 23rd at 16:30 CEST. So make sure to tune in live on Twitch and watch the exciting show with a chance to earn Twitch Drops.
