Pyke is getting some much-needed changes in Patch 14.3.
With less than a week away, Riot has revealed most of the changes in the upcoming Patch.
Starting with the item changes, most underutilized items, such as Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Essence Reaver, Rod of Ages, and Ludens Companion, are getting slight buffs. Collector Kaenic, Rookern, and Youmuu’s Ghostblade are being nerfed. There are also some systematic changes to Item proc damage, Stridebreaker, and Statikk Shiv.
There are also champion changes. Illaoi is getting some much-needed changes, and so is Yorick. Azir, Brand, Karma, and Lillia are finally getting nerfed. There are also some buffs included in the Patch, and we are going to talk about one of these buffs, the Pyke buffs.
Pyke has been struggling quite a bit since the changes in Season 14. Due to the new items, the burst has gone away up, and since Pyke doesn’t gain HP from items, he gets one shot too easily. Moreover, He also has been struggling to keep up with all the AP burst damage in the game.
Thus, for Patch 14.3, Riot is buffing both his survivability and damage. In this article, we will look at the proposed Pyke changes and see how they would affect Pyke.
