Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Best Slowbro Build for Tera Raids

Here is all you need to know about the best build for Slowbro for Tera Raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Tera Raid battles are quite a new addition in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Once upon a time, these were known as Raid Battles. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced this feature in the sandy wave of time. Now, in Paldea, you can join the Tera Raids only and only with your Terastal Pokemon. This means, your pocket monsters should be Terastallized to be in this raid.

We have some good deals for you if you plan on playing with Slowbro. This Water/ Psychic type pocket monster evolves from Slowpoke, that starts from level 37. Specialized in defense, this Pokemon evolves into growing more solid defense. Needless to say, we will be focusing on the defensive for this guy to prepare for the Tera Raids.

Best Slowbro Build for Tera Raids

As discussed before, we will be focusing on the defensive for Slowbro, so keep in mind to invest the EV into HP and Defense. However, do not leave it at level 37. I would suggest pushing it until it reaches level 100. Moreover, a Hyper Training would give a massive boost to its stats.

Now, let’s get into these builds.

Tank Build

Tank Build focuses on absorbing a vast amount of damage. However, we will be focusing on the Special Defense stat while investing the EVs. After absorbing a great deal of damage, the Psychic tera type will give that extra offensive ability to throw back a perfect response to its foes.

  • Tera Type: Psychic
  • Nature: Bold (More Defense, Less Attack)
  • EV Spread:
    HP = 252
    Defense = 4
    Special Attack = 252
  • Ability
    Oblivious= Slowbro cannot be infatuated, intimidated, or be taunted.
  • Held Item
    Leftovers = Restores Slowbro’s 6.25% of its max HP at the end of every turn.
  • Moveset
    Iron Defense = Increases Slowbro’s Defense by two stages.
    Nasty Plot = Increases the Slowbro’s Special Attack by two stages.
    Stored Power = Damages increase by 100% for each stage a stat was increased by Slowbro.
    Slack Off = Heals Slowbro half of its max HP.

Support Build

Being Oblivious will give Slowbro an immunity against infatuation, and Taunt. Moreover, being a Water-tera will give an extra immunity against all the Fire-type moves. As this is a support build, the Bold nature will give off the extra moral boost to its mate.

  • Tera Type: Water
  • Nature: Bold (More Defense, Less Attack)
  • EV Spread:
    HP = 252
    Defense = 252
    Special Attack = 4
  • Ability
    Oblivious= Nothing can intimidate, or taunt Slowbro.
  • Held Item
    Shell Bell = Slowbro recovers 12.5% of the damage it inflicts on opponents.
  • Moveset
    Slack Off = Heals Slowbro half of its max HP.
    Psychic = Has a 10% chance to lower the foe’s Special Defense by one stage.
    Yawn = Foe falls asleep at the end of the next turn.
    Chilling Water = Lowers the foe’s Attack by one stage.

And this is all I had for the best Tera build for Slowbro in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Until next time!
