You have to pick any of the three pokémon before you set out to explore Gen 9’s Paldea region. And your options include – Sprigatito, which is a Grass-type kitten Pokémon; Fuecoco, which is a Fire-type crocodile Pokémon, and finally Quaxly, which is a Water-type duck Pokémon.

Since Fuecoco is the bulkiest of the bunch, is also the slowest pokemon. However, it also means that Fuecoco performs better in longer battles. Fuecoco is weak against Dragon. Fire, Rock, and Water-type attacks.

Although Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly cannot be captured in the wild, you can still add the missing two to your Pokedex by trading with your friends online or locally. Best Starter in Pokémon: Scarlet and Violet
The starter you select may depend on various factors, starting from your preferred element type to the antagonist you want to take down. Although you may be influenced by base stats alone, you still have to consider what each of the three pokemon brings to the table.
If you want a pokemon that has the least number of weaknesses, you may opt for Quaxly. Similarly, if you want the fastest pokemon in the game from the get-go, then you may choose Sprigatito. And if you want a pokemon that can endure long battles, the ideal choice would be Fuecoco.
