In a recent poll from The Gaming Marchent, 66% of the total respondents voted for Solo Mode to make a return in Apex Legends.
Apex Legends brings new and old Limited Time Game Modes, commonly known as LTMs in every new Season. These LTMs usually come with the launch Collection and Thematic Events. Millions of players hop on to these LTMs to experience something than the traditional Apex BR.
However, some LTMs in Apex Legends are more preferred than their counterparts. Respawn usually takes community feedback and re-release the previous LTMs based on community feedback and preference. Solos LTM is one such game mode that was released in Season 2.
Most players loved and enjoyed the Solo Mode so much that they asked Respawn to make it a permanent game mode. However, this time, Respawn didn’t listen to the community. Instead, they clarified that they didn’t want Solo Mode as it negatively impacted the game.

Players Want Solos to Return
“When we introduced Solos as a limited-time mode last year (2019) we saw it actually negatively impacted the game, especially when it came to new player retention. We’ve also purposely designed Legends and their abilities to compliment teamplay and squad composition, but when played Solo some Legend abilities become useless.”, Respawn said in Old Ways Event Patch Notes.
Although Respawn made it clear that they don’t want the Solos to make a return in Apex Legends, players still want it to be a part of Apex Legends even after 12 Seasons. Respawn even added a Duos mode and a No-Fill option in Trios for the players who wanted a Solos experience, but, the Duos and No-Fill option didn’t quite match players’ expectations.
In a recent poll made by The Gaming Merchant, he asked the Apex community, “Which Apex Legends game mode should they bring back?” He listed some of the popular and old LTMs in his poll, including Solos. Unsurprisingly, 66% of 139,000+ respondents wanted the Solos to make a return in Apex Legends.
Even in Season 14, Solo Mode remains the most demanded LTMs by the community. However, Respawn has a very different standpoint concerning the Solos. So, despite its popularity, we may never see a Solo Mode brought back to Apex.
