As mentioned earlier, either a poor internet connection from your end or bad Overwatch 2 servers may cause the Rubberbanding issue. Unfortunately, you don’t have any control over the Overwatch 2 servers. So, you can’t do anything about it if the servers are bad.

However, if the problem lies at your end, you can do some troubleshooting to make your internet connection stable. Only then you’ll be able to play Overwatch 2 smoothly.

Here’s a complete step-by-step guide:

  • Stop Overwatch 2, and go to windows task manager.
  • Close any background application that is using your internet connection/ bandwidth heavily.
  • Make sure your windows firewall isn’t blocking Overwatch 2 servers. To do that:
    • Go to Windows Search.
    • Type Windows Defender Firewall and click on it.
    • Click on Restore defaults.
    • Select Restore defaults button and click on Yes.
  • Open Blizzard client> go to Overwatch 2> click on Regions and change it to where you are located.
  • Do a complete DNS flush:
    • Press start and search CMD
    • Right click the Command Prompt and select run as administrator
    • Type ipconfig/release in the CMD text area and press enter
    • Next, type ipconfig/renew in the command prompt text and type enter
    • Once again, type ipconfig/flushdns and press enter
  • Restart your Router and your Computer
  • Finally, check if Overwatch 2 servers are under maintenance or down through downdetecterOverwatch Twitter page, or battle.net support page. This step is to check if Overwatch 2 servers are having issues currently.
  • Play Overwatch 2.
