The upcoming ARC Raiders October update was already shaping up to be massive, but a new leak suggests Embark Studios could have much more planned than it has publicly revealed.

According to information shared by ARC Raiders creator aimkey, the October update could introduce Level 5 weapon upgrades, armor-piercing ammunition, full-auto weapon augments, expanded attachment options, weapon skins, several new ARC enemies, and much more.

As of writing, these details should be treated as unconfirmed leaks. However, some parts match what Embark has already teased for the Frozen Trail update, which launches on October 8, 2026. Embark has officially described Frozen Trail as its biggest ARC Raiders update since launch.

In brief:

  • A leak claims ARC Raiders weapons could become upgradeable to Level 5.
  • Armor-piercing rounds, extended magazines, universal scopes, and full-auto augments are reportedly coming.
  • Three new ARC enemies are rumored, including what could become the game’s biggest ARC.
  • A new map and additional ARC threats are officially confirmed for Frozen Trail on October 8.

If the leaked information is accurate, Frozen Trail could significantly expand weapon customization.

The rumored additions include:

  • Weapons upgradeable to Level 5
  • Armor-piercing rounds
  • Full-auto augments for certain semi-automatic weapons
  • Extended magazines
  • Scopes usable on any weapon
  • New weapon augments
  • Weapon skins
  • Additional weapon customization options

The ability to convert some semi-automatic weapons into full-auto variants would potentially have a major impact on the ARC Raiders meta. Universal scopes could be equally important, giving players considerably more freedom when building weapons for different engagement ranges.

Embark has not confirmed these individual features. It has, however, officially stated that Frozen Trail will include new weapons and new ways to personalize weapons, so at least the broader focus on expanded customization is legitimate.

Three New ARC Enemies Are Reportedly Coming

The leak also claims that three new ARC enemies are planned, including what is described as the biggest ARC machine in the game.

The exact number remains unverified, but new ARC threats are confirmed. Embark says Frozen Trail will introduce enemies ranging from a smaller problem-maker to an enormous new machine designed to stop Raiders in their tracks. The studio is also building a new high-level ARC Operation aimed at experienced players.

So while claims about exactly three ARC enemies and the largest ARC ever remain leaks, there is official evidence that something considerably bigger is coming.

Frozen Trail’s New Map Is Already Confirmed

One part of the leak that does not require much speculation is the new map.

Frozen Trail sends players beyond the mountains into a frozen settlement containing abandoned villages, factories, research facilities, and an observatory. Embark says it has focused heavily on vertical exploration, with threats appearing both above and below ground.

The October 8 update will also introduce the Outpost, progression changes, Skill Tree adjustments, Raider Deck changes, new gadgets, cosmetics, and a more expansive reward system replacing Cred.

If even most of the newly leaked weapon features turn out to be accurate, Frozen Trail could fundamentally change how ARC Raiders plays when it arrives on October 8.
