Embark Studios has officially confirmed that ARC Raiders: Frozen Trail will launch on October 8, 2026, bringing what the developer describes as the game’s biggest update since launch. The massive update will introduce a brand-new frozen map, tougher ARC enemies, an endgame-focused ARC Operation, deeper progression systems, Outposts, new weapons, and much more.

ARC Raiders Frozen Trail Introduces a New Map
The centerpiece of Frozen Trail is a completely new region located beyond the mountains at the edge of the Rust Belt. Raiders will be sent by Shani to investigate a mysterious signal coming from the area.
The location is described as a harsh frozen settlement filled with abandoned villages, factories, research facilities, and an observatory. Embark says the map has been designed with greater verticality and exploration in mind, with threats and locations waiting both above and below ground.
Frozen Trail will also introduce a new high-level ARC Operation aimed primarily at experienced Raiders. Embark is keeping most of the details under wraps for now, but says the activity will focus on meaningful decisions, dynamic encounters, teamwork, survival, and managing risk.
Players can also expect several new ARC enemies. These will range from smaller machines capable of disrupting Raiders to a massive new ARC threat that Embark says could stop players in their tracks.
One of Frozen Trail’s biggest changes will be the introduction of Outposts. Raiders will finally have the opportunity to occupy a new space on the surface, which players can decorate while researching new elements of the world and progressing toward reclaiming territory from ARC.
The Skill Tree is also being adjusted to give players more control over how they develop their Raider. Embark is additionally working on improvements to Raider Decks to make them more rewarding and engaging.
Frozen Trail Launches October 8
Beyond its headline additions, Frozen Trail will bring new weapons and weapon personalization options, gadgets, cosmetics, instruments, and other surprises. Embark is also continuing work on matchmaking, anti-cheat, stability, and quality-of-life improvements.
