How to Fix Rendering Device Lost Error

The rendering device loss error is not caused by faulty hardware but is a technical issue, mostly known as TDR or Timeout Detection Recovery. Furthermore, the error has also been a haunting issue for its predecessor. Here are the possible fixes to solve this problem:

Step-1:

  • Open Task Manager.
  • Look for irrelevant programs that are consuming excessive RAM.
  • Close the irrelevant programs.

Step-2:

  • Open the Task-Manager
  • Select the “Performance” tab
  • Check the temperatures of your CPU and GPU
  • If any of them is overheated, check if they are overclocked or not.

Step-3:

  • Head over to your GPU application.
  • Check if your GPU drivers are updated.
  • If the drivers are not updated, make sure to update them.
  • Restart your PC after the update is complete.
  • Launch Overwatch 2.
