Riot has unveiled that we are getting a new mechanic, Headliners, in Teamfight Tactics.
In Teamfight Tactics, we get new sets in the game to keep the gameplay fresh. These sets will introduce new Chibis, arenas, units, mechanics, and much more.
In the last set, Runeterra Reforged, we got two new mechanics, Legends and Regional Portals. Regarding Legends, players can choose between 15 Legends, and these will give guaranteed Augments to the players. And with Regional Portals, players can vote between three unique portals. And whichever portal wins will change the rule significantly of the game.
While both were very unique mechanics, Regional Portals were greatly beloved by the community. On the other hand, Legends didn’t fulfill their proper fantasy.
Regardless, Riot has revealed the upcoming set 10 of TFT, Remix Rumble. In terms of mechanics, Riot will be bringing back mechanics like Augments and Regional Portals. And a new mechanic that is coming out is Headliners.

Teamfight Tactics New Mechanic: Headliners
Headliners is the upcoming newest mechanic in TFT. However, it is not actually new in concept. It is a new take on the previous Chosen mechanic from set 4.
Similar to Chosen, Headliners will be the strongest unit on your board. You can purchase your Headliner at 2 stars. Moreover, they will have their own unique abilities.
Firstly, once you get your Headliner, you will get a plus one on one of your traits. But besides this universal ability, each Headliner has their own unique special effects. For example, initially, Bard can only either heal your ally or damage damage to the opponent. But when Bard is your Headliner after every ten casts, it will generate a meep. This meep will allow him to cast one extra note on his first cast of combat.
Another Headliner that Riot revealed was Yorick. Usually, Yorick will spawn ghouls as the round progresses. But when he is the Headliner, the Ghouls will be more tankier and far more stronger.
Headliners will shift the meta differently than before. But for now, players will have a great time trying to find the perfect Headliner for their units.
