Riot is giving back Mid Lane Minions the 1 gold back from Patch 13.12.

Patch 13.10 and 13.11 introduced some interesting changes, which made things strange. After all the item changes, it was a surprise that mid laners did not get some of those same changes. Mid lane players have been clamoring for some buffs in Patch 13.12.

However, given how champions like Annie and Ahri are so strong right now, the mid lane is in a decent spot. Sadly the role has mostly become a roaming position, which has decreased the priority of a lot of the scaling mages.

Thus, Riot has decided to give back some of that gold they took out from the mid lane. Giving it back is going to tilt the scale a little, hopefully. Here is what we know so far.

Gold Change in the Mid Lane

Patch 13.12 will give back 1 gold per minion in the early game from the mid lane. This will help scale mid laners a lot and promote farming a little more than roaming. The mid laners will not have more of a dilemma to decide how they want to approach the game.

Roaming would mean that they lose more gold overall. Meanwhile, the extra gold early in the game will help players get to the item breakpoints faster. Hopefully, this will be a change that will improve laning advantages and benefits for mid lanes.
