Riot is enabling players to earn Mastery Tokens from ARAM games in Patch 13.5 and onwards.

ARAM has become a staple mode in League of Legends for a good chunk of the player base. Some players just want to enjoy a game without too much stress. That is ARAM for those players, a game mode to just queue up in and have a bit of fun.

There have been quite a few changes to the game mode a while back. The ARAM rework brought in Hexgates, tower rubble, and more. Also, there was a special ARAM clash tournament that Riot said to bring back at some point. Patch 13.4 will introduce more changes to ARAM as well.

With Riot’s increased focus on improving ARAM, a new QoL update is coming soon for the game mode. Along with all the perks of the mode itself, ARAM will soon allow players to earn Mastery Tokens. A Rioter mentioned this as this will give ARAM players something they have wanted for a while.

Mastery Tokens in ARAM

Jordan Checkman, a Design Lead at Riot, confirmed this change a while back.

While it is an under-the-radar addition, it is a nice one. Being able to earn mastery tokens for level 6 and level 7 mastery is a great addition. So, all in all, this is something ARAM players can look forward to. The change will be released in Patch 13.5, which will be releasing on March 8th, 2023.
