Mid-Season Invitational, or MSI for short, is the second most significant event of League of Legends. In this event, the best teams worldwide compete against each other to see who is the best. Moreover, the winner will also earn the title of MSI champion.
MSI is the highest competition stage for League of Legends, right behind Worlds. So both players and fans can see what each team is capable of at their best.
While that is more than enough incentive for people to watch the tournament, some still don’t want to watch the event. Because of it, Riot has set up a drop system where the viewers will have a chance to earn various rewards. These rewards could range from in-game items to real-life merchandise.
As MSI 2023 will start this week, here’s how to earn the drops and everything else you must know about this event.

How To Earn Drops
Here is a step to step guide on how to earn drops.
- Go to the official LoL Esports website.
- Click on the Login button on the top right.
- Login to your desired Riot Games account.
- Watch the live matches during the scheduled date.
- That’s it.
You should be eligible to earn drops if you correctly did all the steps mentioned earlier. There will be a symbol to see if you are eligible right below the live video.
You are eligible if the rewards symbol has a cyan tick on its right side. However, if you see the red cross instead, it means you still did not qualify.
If you still did not qualify after logging in, you should go to the rewards tab of the LoL Esports website. There should be an option for opting in for rewards. If you follow the given instructions, then you should be able to earn the rewards.
The rewards will be automatically redeemed on your account. But if there are server issues, it might take around a couple of hours to receive them.
What Rewards Can I Earn For MSI 2023?
From the MSI 2023 drops, you can earn capsules, emotes, and icons. Moreover, from the capsule, you can earn various esports emotes and icons which you can only get from these capsules.
