New leaks have suggested that Respawn may introduce a new feature allowing players to use Legend Tokens to buy Battle Pass levels in the future.
Apex Legends is a free-to-play live-service title that monetizes via micro transactions. The game has three types of currencies: Apex Coins, Crafting Materials, and Legend Tokens. Among them, Legend Tokens are the most effortless to get.
Players can get these Legend Tokens just by leveling up their accounts. Unlike Apex Coins and Crafting Materials, the Legend Tokens have very little use, and you cannot use them except for buying Legends and Recolor skins from the Featured store.
As a result, most players have hundreds of thousands of these Legend Tokens that they cannot use anywhere. Unsurprisingly, players have been asking Respawn to give them anything they can use these Legends Tokens on for a long time. And, finally, Respawn may’ve listened.

Legend Tokens to Buy Battle Pass Levels?
Players may finally put their Legend Tokens to good use, as a recent leak from a prominent leaker, AG420, suggested that they will be able to do so in the future.
Apparently, the data miner salvaged some hidden files from the game and found interesting information about a potential upcoming feature. AG420 shared a picture of a “Purchase Battle Pass Levels” menu with two currency buttons.
The first currency that allows players to buy Battle Pass levels is the Apex Coins, which isn’t surprising as it has been in the game since the beginning. However, the second button in the picture has a missing texture. AG420 found the associated codes that might give you a clear idea of what the new feature is all about.
- “mtx_purchaseBPLevelsWithLegendTokensEnabled”
- “mtx_purchaseBPLevelsWithLegendTokensLimit = 20”
These are the codes AG420 found in the game files, indicating players will be able to buy a maximum of 20 Battle Pass levels using Legend Tokens. The new feature will work exactly like the Apex store, where you can buy Recolor skins from the Featured section using either Apex Coins or Legends Tokens.
So, if Respawn adds this new feature, players will be able to buy up to 20 Battle Pass levels using either Apex Coins or Legend Tokens. It’ll help tons of players to complete their Battle Passes with less effort than before.
Unfortunately, the leaker hasn’t mentioned any release date for this potential upcoming feature. And, Respawn tends to scrap ideas as the season progresses. So, whether this feature will see the day of light is still unknown. However, there’s a very good chance that this feature will come in Season 18. Nonetheless, take it with a grain of salt.
