Leaker TheGhostofHope claims that Warzone 2 will receive a resurgence style map in 2023. The map will be similar to Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep.
Call of Duty: Warzone was Infinity Ward’s reinvented take on the battle royale genre based on CoD mechanics. The game has garnered appreciation worldwide, especially for its large map Verdansk. Furthermore, they introduced a resurgence-based map – Rebirth Island, which became one of the most played maps in Warzone history.
Warzone 2’s release is reportedly around the end of November, just after MW2’s release. The game will be built on MW2’s engine, borrowing its in-game mechanics and features. Based on leaks from his sources, theGhostofHope claims that a resurgence-style map will be added to the game in 2023.

Warzone 2’s New Resurgence Style Map
According to Hope, Warzone 2 will receive two maps in 2023, with the resurgence style map coming midway through 2023 and another in late 2023. Currently, Warzone has one large map and two resurgence-style maps. The resurgence style maps- Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep, are widely popular amongst players.
Previously, a playtester found a new map in the menu while testing the new game. The curator of the playtest stated that it was a new map currently in development with no confirmed release date.
The new map might follow Rebirth Island’s structure. However, it is too soon to say whether the new map might be small or large in scale. Rebirth Island was a massive success for Warzone, so it might not be amusing to see the new map be a small one.
It’s important to remember that these are just leaks, and the developers have yet to confirm the information. As a result, take these leaks with a grain of salt until an official announcement comes out.
