The next update for Wild Rift is here, patch 4.4a, with mostly buffs and new skins.
Patch 4.4 is going to be the last major update for Wild Rift of this year. That’s why Riot has announced many new additions for this patch.
Firstly, we are getting three new champions throughout the season. These champions are Fiddlesticks, Sivir, and Zyra. Zyra, on the other hand, is receiving new splash art and visuals.
Regarding skins, we got a new exclusive Wild Pass skin, Psychic Detective. Moreover, we also received Glorious Basilisk Ashe for the new Ranked season.
Usually, after Riot releases a major patch, we get the minor patches like 4.3a or 4.3b later. These patches include new skins, more champion adjustments, and the rest of the features that weren’t added during the initial patch.
Since it’s been a while since Riot released patch 4.4, Riot has released the smaller patch 4.4a. With this update, we finally have Arena game mode in Wild Rift. Moreover, we are also getting a lot of balance changes across the roster. And in terms of skin, Riot has finally released the anticipated Heartsteel skins. So here’s the entire patch notes.

Champion Buffs
Corki
With the release of First Strike and mage items, many of the assassin and mage mid-laners and junglers have risen to new heights. However, their counterparts are underperforming as a result. And many of them are getting buffed for this very reason. The first of these mid laners is Corki. For Corki, in particular, his damage all around is increasing.
- Stats
- Attack Damage: 52 >>> 54
- Attack Damage per level: 3.6 >>> 4
- Missile Barrage
- Damage: 80/115/150 + 25%/45%/65% Attack Damage + 20% Ability Power >>> 80/115/150 + 25%/50%/75% Attack Damage + 20% Ability Power
- Big One: 160/230/300 + 50%/90%/130% Attack Damage + 40% Ability Power >>> 160/230/300 + 50%/100%/150% Attack Damage + 40% Ability Power
Fiora
While a skill-expressive champion, Fiora cannot properly duel against any champion in the early stage. Due to it, that’s why her passive and ultimate is getting some much-needed buffs.
- Duelist’s Dance
- Damage in the direction of a Vital: Maximum Health of target 3% >>> Maximum Health of target 3.5%
- Grand Challange
- Damage of triggering all 4 Vitals: Maximum Health of target 12% >>> Maximum Health of target 14%
Yasuo
Just like Corki, Yasuo is struggling against mages like Vex. With his Wind Wall buff, he should have some good sustain in the lane.
- Wind Wall
- Cooldown: 21/20/19/18s >>> 18/18/18/18s
Aatrox
Since his nerfs in earlier patches, Aatrox has gotten far weaker, especially in the late game. With these buffs, he can easily carry the team fight in the later stages.
- Deathbringer Stance
- Damage: 5% – 12% Maximum Health of target >>> 5% – 15% Maximum Health of target
- The Darkin Blade
- Damage: 15/40/65/90 + 65%/70%/75%/80% Attack Damage >>> 15/45/75/105 + 70%/75%/80%/85% Attack Damage
Warwick
Warwick is currently the weakest jungler in the game. The main reason for that is he is too slow when it comes to ganking. While he can get some cheese kills very easily, overall, he is very weak in the meta. So, he is getting some much-needed buffs.
- Jaws of the Beasts
- Damage based on target’s maximum Health: 6%/7%/8%/9% >>> 7%/8%/9%/10%
- Infinite Duress
- Cooldown: 75/65/55s >>> 70/60/50s
Shyvana
Another weak jungler who is receiving a buff is Shyvana. Her flaw is that her clear speed is extremely slow. These buffs should fix that problem.
- Burnout
- Damage per second: 30/45/60/75 + 25% bonus Attack Damage >>> 35/50/65/80 + 30% bonus Attack Damage
- Total damage: 210/315/420/525 + 175% bonus Attack Damage >>> 245/350/455/560 + 210% bonus Attack Damage
- Dragon’s Descent
- Bonus Health: 150/250/350 → 230/315/400
Brand
While all the other mages are dominating the meta, Brand, on the other hand, is extremely underwhelming in his role. So Riot is giving him some buffs to give him some boosts.
- Stat
- Health: 530 >>> 570
- Conflagration
- Damage: 60/90/120/150 + 40% Ability Power >>> 60/90/120/150 + 50% Ability Power
- Pyroclasm
- Damage: 100/200/300 + 25% Ability Power >>> 100/200/300 + 30% Ability Power
Vi
As stated before, the current jungle meta is being dominated by assassins. So Bruiser champions, especially, are having a hard time in the meta. So Riot will be buffing Vi in patch 4.4a.
- Stats
- Armour: 30 >>> 34
- Assault and Battery
- Cooldown: 80/65/50s >>> 70/60/50s
Ekko
Similar to Vi, Ekko is also subpar in the current meta. Therefore, he is also receiving some buffs.
- Timewinder
- Outgoing damage: 60/80/100/120 + 30% Ability Power >>> 70/90/110/130 + 30% Ability Power
- Returning damage: 40/75/110/145 + 60% Ability Power >>> 50/85/120/155 + 60% Ability Power
Champion Nerfs
Janna
Janna has become one of the most reliable champions in the game. That’s due to her insane roaming potential. And for that reason, she is receiving some nerfs.
- Zephyr
- Bonus movement speed: 15%/20%/25%/30% >>> 10%/15%/20%/25%
- Eye of the Storm
- Shield value: 65/90/115/140 + 60% Ability Power >>> 65/90/115/140 + 45% Ability Power
Twitch
With the item changes in the earlier patch, players have been picking Twitch in other roles as well, with huge success. Because of this, he is getting some slight adjustments.
- Deadly Venom
- Damage per stack: 1/2/3/4/5 (1/4/7/10/13 level) + 3.5% Ability Power >>> 1/2/3/4/5 (1/4/7/10/13 level) + 2.5% Ability Power
- Contaminate
- Damage of each Deadly Venom stack: 20/25/30/35 + 37% bonus Attack Damage + 30% Ability Power >>> 20/25/30/35 + 33% bonus Attack Damage + 20% Ability Power
- Damage ratio to monsters: 130% >>> 80%
- Spray and Pray
- Ballistic speed: 4000 >>> 6000
Yuumi
Yummi is not only the most annoying champion in the game, but she is also one of the strongest supports in the meta. So she is getting some much-needed nerfs so that she doesn’t go out of hand.
- Prowling Projectiles
- Base damage: 60/100/140/180/220 + 25% Ability Power >>> 60/100/140/180/220 + 20% Ability Power
- Damage while attached: 70/120/170/220/270 + 35% Ability Power >>> 70/120/170/220/270 + 30% Ability Power
