The meta is starting to take shape after the durability update, and Riot is releasing another smaller patch to balance out some things.
Riot introduced the massive durability update in patch 12.10. It shifted the meta entirely. Instead of quick teamfights and assassinations, teamfights take more time, and squishy champions get a chance to outplay their opponents. So it is natural that the meta would take some time to take shape.
Champions with high sustain and good scaling are shining in the meta. However, burst mages and assassins are struggling the most. So, in Patch 12.11, Riot adjusted some items and runes to nerf scaling and healing, while also buffing almost all the lethality items.
For patch 12.12, Riot is focusing on some less popular champions like Amumu, Jarvan, Ivern, Yorick, etc. But League of Legends’ brand new champion, Bel’Veth, is getting a nerf. She scales insanely well into the late game with attack speed steroids.
Here’s everything you need to know about the changes in Patch 12.12.
