The League of Legends Mod community has done what Riot refuses to do, bring back the winter map.
The winter season is a very special time for many people worldwide; it’s a time of holiday, joy, and celebrating Christmas. And for League of Legends players, it’s time for the winter-themed events, winter-themed skins, and the Winter Rift. Each year to celebrate the arrival of winter, Riot Games releases winter-themed skins and the winter map. We’ve had these events since League’s creation, which has become a tradition.
Sadly, Riot has not released any winter-themed skins for the past two years, nor have they brought back the winter map. So, this year when Riot announced the winter-themed Winterblessed skin line, people were also expecting the Winter Rift’s return. However, that didn’t happen, and according to Riot, it is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
But the players weren’t having any of this. Thus, they created a custom Winter Rift map of their own. Two modders named “TheKillerey & BlooJae” created this new and improved Winter Rift, which includes custom minions, monsters, and even the elemental rifts.

Is It Safe?
According to Riot, the custom skin is “Use at your own risk.”
But Riot has not banned players for using custom skin mods. Although there’s a risk of breaking game files using custom modes, they can be easily fixed by reinstalling or repairing the game.
Sadly, the mod doesn’t work in the Asian servers and might even get you banned in the Korean server.
