Riot has revealed that Fright Night skins are returning to League of Legends as the Halloween 2024 skins.
Early in 2022, Riot released a VGU poll for League of Legends. In this poll, players could vote for champions they wanted to see reworked. Alongside the VGU poll, Riot also released a poll where players could vote for a retired skin line to come back. In this poll, most players voted for the Gothic skin line.
Gothic was a one-off skin line that featured skins for Annie, Amumu, and Orianna. After Gothic Orianna, Riot retired this skin line. But after the 2022 VGU poll, they made a new and improved iteration of the Gothic skin line with a completely new name, Fright Night.
Fright Night is a unique take on the gothic theme. These skins are some of the first cel-shaded skins in League of Legends. Not only that, they are inspired by the looks of old-school horror movies. Moreover, the art style of the skin line is also amazing as well. The first iteration of this skin line featured skins for Annie, Draven, Renata Glasc, Nautilus, Trundle, and Urgot.
As the first run of this skin line was this popular, Riot decided to bring this skin line back again for 2024, this time with new champions.
