There are 8 starting areas in Palworld, each of which tells you its Pal Population and Resource Amount. The higher the Pal Population, the more Pals you’ll be able to collect. The higher the Resource Amount, the better you’ll be able to craft and build.
This guide aims to help you choose your starting area so that you can build the perfect base for you and your animal minions and get the best start possible.
Tips to Choose the Best Starting Area in Palworld
Space
The first thing you should keep in mind is the amount of space you’ll have. This is because your base will start expanding and spreading very quickly, so try to avoid narrow places surrounded by water or cliffs. Make sure to pick a wide-open area to fit everything you’ll need, from farms to assembly lines.
Defense
While a wide open area is nice, you should also consider your entrances. For example, look for areas that you need to access through bridges or narrow passes, any sort of checkpoint. That way, you only have to worry about one area when building defenses. This is crucial, as there are a lot of hostile Pals in the world, and attacks on your base will be very common.
Pals
Lastly, think about what type of pals are around where you want to build your bases. Try to avoid boss pals or aggressive pals. Otherwise, you’ll spend most of your time battling them, especially during nighttime. Instead, opt to build bases in areas that are inhabited by pals you can easily take down.
