How to Make a Bed in Minecraft

Here is how to build a bed and set your respawn point in Minecraft.

Minecraft is a sandbox game originally released in 2009 and developed by Mojang Studios. Players are spawned in a random world where they must survive by defeating enemies, harvesting food, and exploring the vast open world. Because of the number of things players can do in Minecraft, the game is popular in the community and shows no sign of slowing down.

When a player spawns in Minecraft, they have to explore the world and survive filled with monsters and hostile mobs in the game. Occasionally, players will die to zombies, creepers, or other enemies in the game, which will set you back if you do not set a respawn point. You can set your respawn point when you find or make a Bed in Minecraft.

A player can set their respawn point in Minecraft when they Right-click a bed. Wherever you place and interact with the bed, it will set the respawn point on that bed. Players can also use the bed to sleep through nighttime to avoid fighting with dangerous mobs or during thunderstorms.

Here is how you can make a bed in Minecraft.

Gather the Materials

To make a bed in Minecraft, you will need Wool and Wooden Planks to make a bed. You can find wool by killing sheep in the game or crafting them using strings. Sheep are a good food source and wool in Minecraft since they drop 1-3 raw mutton and a single piece of wool when you kill a single sheep. You will find 3 to 4 sheep roaming together while exploring your world. You will need three pieces of wool to make a bed.

You can also collect wool without killing the sheep, using a Shear. Shear can be crafted with 2 Iron Ingots put together, and you will get 1-3 wool from a single sheep, which is a more efficient way.

After you have collected three pieces of wool, you will need wooden planks. You need to break down a tree to get wood logs, which you can convert into wooden planks. To make a bed, you need exactly three wooden planks.

Craft the Bed

After collecting all the items, go to the Workbench/Crafting table. Put the 3 wooden planks on all of the bottom slots, and put 3 wool in the middle of the crafting bench. After placing them on the crafting table, you will get your bed.

Place the bed on the floor by Right-clicking after you have created your bed. When you Right-click on the bed, it will set the new respawn point in your Minecraft world. If you accidentally die, you will respawn at your bed.
