Everything you need to know to get guns in Palworld
Palworld places you in a sandbox world with survival and crafting mechanics similar to Minecraft and Ark: Survival Evolved, while allowing you to capture Pokémon-like monsters known as pals. Furthermore, in addition to battling Pals with each other, you can also do much more with them than in traditional monster-taming games. Including slave labor, giving them guns, eating them, and even killing them with guns.

It has been described as Pokémon with guns, but actually acquiring firearms takes some time and progression. Finding and crafting them is more difficult than you might expect, given most of the promotional material of the game. Guns are some of the most powerful weapons in the game, and to start crafting guns, you’ll need to unlock them through your technology tree.
In this guide, we look at how exactly you can get guns in Palworld.
How to Get Guns
To get some guns for yourself, you’ll need to be able to craft them. Thus, you’ll need to level up enough until you can unlock them on the technology tree. Below is a list of all guns on the technology tree, the level you unlock each gun on, and their crafting recipes.

As you can see, it will take a substantial amount of time before you can even unlock a musket.
Moreover, you’ll need a High Quality Workbench to be able to craft gunpowder, and a Weapon Workbench to be able to craft guns. Furthermore, guns, including and following the Single Shot Rifle require a Production Assembly Line to craft. Below are the requirements to build each of these.

Quicker Ways to Get Guns
Crafting a gun will take a long time. However, there are ways to get a gun quite earlier:
Chests
There are chests throughout the world containing a variety of items, including weapon schematics, which you can use to craft weapons that you haven’t unlocked on the technology tree yet. Chests at the No.1 Wildlife Sanctuary have a good chance of dropping a Handgun schematic.
To get to this island, you’ll need a Pal you can fly on, such as Nitewing, to cross the ocean.
Wandering Merchants
You can also find a Wandering Merchant in Fisherman’s Point who can sell you a Makeshift Handgun and the ammo you can use with it.
