Is your game constantly crashing in Season 18? You are not the only one. Thankfully, there’s a workaround that will resolve the constant crashing issues.
As Apex Legends is a live-service title, Respawn adds new content to it with every single update. These updates come to the game through different phases. The biggest update to the game comes with the start of a new season, followed by mid-size updates with different Collection Events and regular events.
While the updates are great and all, they can also sometimes ruin a perfectly fine game and fill it with bugs and glitches. And as we all already know, Respawn is notorious for breaking Apex Legends with almost every single update. So, it isn’t a surprise for anyone at this moment.
Although some bugs and glitches don’t trouble anyone, sometimes they get so severe that the game becomes literally unplayable. Similarly, after the Season 17 Dressed to Kill Collection Event update went live, many people started reporting weird game crashes occurring in almost every single game.
For most people, the problem wasn’t as severe when the first Collection Event went live. However, after the Neon Network Collection Event update, more and more players began to experience the same issue on PC and Xbox. The even more annoying fact is that the game does not show any error codes that can help troubleshoot the game.
Thankfully, after researching quite a bit, we finally have some answers that may tell you why you are facing the constant crashing issue in Apex Legends Season 18 and how you can easily fix it.

Why is Apex Legends Crashing in Season 18?
Typically, when an Apex Legends update causes a bug or glitch, every player gets affected by it. Surprisingly, after the Season 17 Dressed to Kill Collection Event update, not everyone but only a specific group of people started suffering from the constant crashing issues, which still persist in Season 18.
As a limited number of people are facing the issue in different setups and platforms, the chance of it being a hardware-related issue was taken out of consideration. Moreover, everyone reported that other games ran completely fine for them on the same setup, which further confirmed that the problem was something else.
So, after much research and troubleshooting, the community has finally figured out that it is a network-related issue that is kicking out a certain network setup. Simply put, a specific group of internet users is facing constant crashes in startup and mid-game.
Many people on the EA Esports forum and the Apex Legends subreddit also supported the theory and confirmed it to be true. Thankfully, they also found a workaround that reduces or, if lucky, completely prevents Apex Legends from crashing in Season 18.
How to Fix Apex Legends Constantly Crashing in Season 18
Fortunately, using a VPN is helping players substantially reduce or completely eliminate the crashing issues in Season 18. As mentioned earlier, the game keeps crashing because of a problem with the network, so it makes sense that using a VPN is the only solution that players have found to work.
You can use any VPN that you have on your computer. Just make sure to select the best routing so you can get the best ping with little to no packet loss. However, if you don’t have a VPN or don’t want to spend money on buying one, you can use WARP by Cloudflare.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to download, install, and use WARP for free:
1. Go to WARP’s official download website.
2. Click on Windows to download WARP for Windows 10 or 11.
3. Download the.msi file and open it
4. Follow the instructions of the WARP Setup Wizard, install WARP, and press Finish
5. After the installation is finished, click on “Show hidden icons” from the bottom-right side of your taskbar. You’ll find the WARP VPN with the cloud logo. Now click on Cloudflare WARP
6. After the WARP VPN opens, click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner of the app and select 1.1.1.1 with WARP.
Note: Make sure to use “1.1.1.1 with WARP” and not “1.1.1.1”, as it might not fix Apex Legends’ crashing issue.
7. Now, press the white circle and turn the WARP VPN on
7. Your VPN setup is done. Now launch Apex Legends normally
After you turn WARP VPN on and start playing Apex Legends, the game should run without crashing. This method actually works, as we’ve tested it ourselves on different connections and PCs. Surprisingly, our game never crashed even after hours of playing the new ranked session and other LTMs while the VPN was turned on.
Keep in mind that using a VPN has its limitations. Despite encountering no crashes, we were facing minor ping spikes and packet loss issues on a few servers. However, the rare ping spike and minor packet loss have been negligible, and it was a far better option than having to deal with constant crashes in mid-game while running against the new ring damage and third parties.

Nevertheless, it is only a workaround and not an actual fix. Hopefully, Respawn will come up with a permanent solution to this problem so everyone can enjoy the game without using a VPN or facing constant crashes. Have fun!
