Since looking at the shrine at the end of its prequel, we had a clear idea of what’s about to happen in God of War Ragnarok. All of these prophecies, all of these destinies, were eventually getting followed by Ragnarok. And to prepare for the final day, Kratos and Atreus have to be prepared for the worst experience of their lifetime.
Both father and son will be visiting realms to realms, fighting Norse Gods and their minions while sharpening up their weaponries. And to sharpen up the weaponries, there are individual Skill Trees. To upgrade these, you will need to complete various Skill Labors in God of War Ragnarok. Let’s get into the depth.

What are Labors in God Of War Ragnarok
Labors are basically an in-game mechanic system that keeps track of your challenges and secrets of the world. These are to be completed and discovered by Kratos and Atreus. Moreover, each of the realms has different labors to complete.
You will find the list of the labors in the Goal Menu tab. Keep in mind that Labors are totally different from Favors. However, there are some items that you will get by completing Favors that will be required to complete Labors. That is how these are connected, even though being different in mechanics.
How the Labors Work
After completing these Labors, you would want to enhance your weaponries. And talking about enhancing, there are multiple skill sets available for each of the weapons. When you perform these skills several times, it will unlock more advanced tiers from time to time.
Say, there is this Flame Whiplash II, a technical skill for Blades of Chaos. To unlock this, you must have 5000 XP and Blades of Chaos reached at Lvl 6. Moreover, you will also need to perform the Flame Whiplash I several times. Now, this is what Skill Labor is in God of War Ragnarok.
The highest tier is the Gold Tier. Reaching here, you will be granted Mode Tokens. With these tokens, you will be able to enhance your weaponries with additional damage, stun, and much more.
