HoYoverse premiered the Genshin Impact v3.1 Livestream, announced new characters and events, and gave out free Primogem codes.
Genshin Impact introduced the Sumeru region with version 3.0, and the update is almost over. With the version 3.0 update, the first 5-star Dendro character Tighnari was introduced into the game. With the update, we got the newest 4-star Collei and Dori, new events, Archon quests, and many more.
Today HoYoverse broadcasted the special program for the upcoming version 3.1 update. They showed the viewers in the Special Livestream program what the new update will bring to the players. The desert region of Sumeru will be unlocked with the upcoming update, the part that worships the Scarlet King.
In the version 3.1 update, Cyno – the 5-star Electro character teased in a trailer a long time ago, is finally making his appearance in Genshin Impact. Nilou, a 5-star Hydro character, is also coming as a featured character in version 3.1. Candace, the newest 4-star Hydro character, will feature alongside Cyno.
The Anemo archon Venti and Albedo are also getting rerun banners in the version 3.1 update. In version 3.1, there will be many events, quests, and map exploration for the players to enjoy.
One thing that attracts a lot of players to these Livestreams is the free Promgem codes. Before every update, Mihoyo hosts these Livestreams and reveals 300 Free Primogem codes for the viewers.

Character Event Banners
For Phase 1, 5-star Electro character Cyno and Venti will be the first two limited-time Character Event banners when the version 3.1 update goes live. Both Cyno and Venti banners will run simultaneously, and the newest 4-star Hydro character Candace will also feature in both character event banners.
For Phase 2, the newest 5-star Hydro character Nilou and Albedo, both character banners will run simultaneously. This is Albedo’s second rerun banner in Genshin Impact.
Events and Items
Hyakunin Ikki is a fighting event that will appear near Inazuma City. Players need to fight in a domain with characters to complete the event.

Of Ballads and Brews is a series of mini-events commissioned by Mondstadt’s Adventurer’s Guild. After completing the event, players will get Missive Windspear, a free 4-star Polearm, refinement materials, and other rewards.
Wind Chaser is a time trial event in a strange domain. Players must compete in different domains and parkour to finish the event in time.
Star-Seeker’s Sojourn is a hunting event in Sumeru that will reward players with weapon ascension materials, Mora, and other rewards.
Event Overview
Genshin Impact is turning two years old on September 28, and HoYoverse will give out anniversary rewards to players in-game. There will be 7-day login rewards which will give 10 Intertwined Fates, Hero’s Wit, and other rewards. Also, HoYoverse will send out 1,600 Primogems, 4 Fragile Resin, a new Pet, and some furnishing for Serenitea Pot in-game mail.
Version 3.1 update is bringing a lot of rewards for new and old players and is one of the biggest updates in Genshin Impact.

Quests
With the version 3.1 update, new Archon Quest Chapter 3: Act III, “Dreams, Emptiness, Deception,” and Act IV, “King Deshret and the Three Magi” will be unlocked.
Genshin Impact Anime Series
The biggest announcement on Genshin Impact special program live stream was the new Genshin Impact Anime series. HoYoverse announced a new collaboration with animation studio Ufotable, which will produce the Genshin Impact anime series, and HoYoverse has branded this as a “long-term project.”
Ufotable is a Japanese anime studio well known for anime such as Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, and the worldwide famous Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
