If you encounter a matchmaking error, it is most likely not because of a problem on your side. But that doesn’t mean you cannot take any steps trying to fix it. There are a few things you can try and see if that helps fix the problem. Let’s go through them in this article.

Fixing Matchmaking Error in LEGO Fortnite

A few things you can check and do if you are facing a Matchmaking error in Lego Fortnite. The first is checking if the servers are down or not. Most online games have maintenance breaks every now and then. During the game, the game is unavailable to play. Thus, if Fortnite is on maintenance break, you will get a matchmaking error.

If the servers are fine, but you are still getting matchmaking errors, then close the game and restart your PC or console. That way, you can connect to a fresh settings console/PC server. After restarting, open the game and see if the problem still exists.

If it is still here, then you can submit a ticket to the devs and wait for them to fix it. There is no other solution for you to do here. Even though tickets usually take some time to resolve, it’s better than nothing.

Why You Should Not Change DNS Settings

A potential solution for matchmaking errors is changing the DNS settings of your console or PC. But it is not an ideal solution. Unless you use your device only for playing Fortnite and nothing else, you should avoid changing DNS settings.

Changing DNS settings will not help you fix the problem if the problem is on the server side. On top of that, changing DNS settings will negatively impact the internet connection for any other games on the device.
