The League of Legends client seems to have been having crashes due to 3rd party apps interactions.
Riot has had a fair share of issues with the game, whether it be performance issues or problems with Biscuits. Quite a while back, League of Legends faced its biggest issue due to a social engineering attack.
That caused multiple issues, including delayed patch releases, performance problems, etc. Thus, Riot has had to wrestle with a fair bit of the issues. Not to mention that the backlash at the start of the season caused many issues to pop up with the community.
While that was the biggest issue to deal with for Riot, that did not end the bugs that we find in League of Legends. There was a critical error bug that popped up again a while back, as well as the aforementioned Biscuit changes. Riot has addressed those issues. However, as history as told us, there will be more that will pop up in the future.
One of those is the recent crashing issues due to 3rd party apps. This is a problem as many players run apps like Blitz, OP.GG, Porofessor, etc. With this issue, Riot has made a notice on the matter. Here is what we know so far.

Crashes Due To 3rd Party Apps
As per Riot in the tweet above, some interactions with 3rd party apps are causing League of Legends to crash. Overlays could be part of the problem as well. This means all the apps with overlays or any sort of interaction with the client are causing the crashes.
As a short-term measure, Riot has requested disabling apps and overlays until they fix the issue. Riot has said that they are working on a fix. Hence, hopefully, we will get the fix soon, and players can use their valid 3rd party apps to play the game the way they want to.
