How To Beat Moonshine Mob in Bootlegger Boogie

  • Shot-A: Peashooter
  • Shot-B: Spread
  • Super: Energy Beam
  • Charm: Smoke Bomb

The peashooter is a reliable weapon that works in all situations. Furthermore, The Crackshot or Spread will ensure more bullets hit enemies, especially when you need to dodge and move a lot to avoid damage. We recommend using Spread because you will be close ranged often, and you can get multiple bullets to strike at once. Using Ms. Chalice can make this fight easier using her invincibility ability.

The Energy Beam will come in handy a few times when the enemy is vulnerable or has an opening to strike with all your might. It can drain a lot of health from the boss.

Smoke Bomb will save your life; you can dash without taking a hit. So you don’t have to worry much about dashing into a projectile or obstacle and focus more on firing at your enemies.

Moonshine Mob Boss Phases

There are four phases in this boss battle, with the last one being a fake knockout screen and then attacking you when you’re busy rejoicing in your victory.

  • Phase One: The Tophat Spider
  • Phase Two: Gramophone and the Dancing Bee
  • Phase Three: The Anteater
  • Final Phase: Fake Victory

Phase One: The Tophat Spider

The giant spider is a huge target that tries to come towards you to attack you. He is an easy target, so use spread to get maximum hits. He will jump from platform to platform. Dealing with the spider alone is easy, but it becomes hectic when he calls in his aides, which are also his attack set.

This includes flies that try to ram into you, worms that bounce around, police ants that shoot projectiles, some of which are pink and therefore can be parried, and bombs that hang off spiderwebs. Be quick and takedown as soon as they appear, or they will fill your screen, making things challenging.

Phase Two: Gramophone and the Dancing Bee

In this phase, a gramophone will appear along with a dancing bee. Stay on the bottom floor, and attack the bee. The dancing bee does not attack directly; the gramophone is the primary damage dealer in this phase. It emits beams of soundwaves that rotates around the screen. It has a charging phase before it can deal damage, denoted by colors and giving ample time to evade. Green means it is safe, orange means it charges up, and red means it deals damage. In fact, it deals massive damage.

Moreover, this phase has police ants, which now only run at you, barrels that move at any of the floors. In this phase, you must be wary of dodging the sound beam and keep shooting with Spread.

Phase Three: The Anteater

The Moonshine Mob boss fight in Cuphead Delicious Last Course gets easier from here. At least less hectic than the last two phases. The two top floors are broken and only exist on two sides of the map. The snout attacks from various directions, but the hardest to dodge is when it licks an entire space and shoots out a ball of bugs on the screen. You can parry the tongue when it attacks, but it is less risky to dodge instead.

So all you have to do is evade the nose, keep changing lanes, and shoot the snout with everything you have. Sometimes a snail will come out of the hat and attack it with the peashooter to have lesser health in the final phase.

Taking out the anteater displays a knockout outro, making you think that the battle is over and drop your guard. You will soon realize that it was a dupe.

Phase Four: Fake Victory

After the unusual Knockout shows up, implying the boss fight is complete, the Snail comes out of the hat and uses his megaphone to shoot a bluish fireball and sometimes pink (can be parried) with the increasing speed at every shot. Use the peashooter, super, and Ex Attack to attack the Snail as much as possible till the Snail boss gets taken out. The Spread’s bullet does not have enough range to hit Snail here.

Sometimes the Snail will hide in his hat and hit you with a hard-hitting attack. If you are careful, you can easily dodge this; other than that, his only attack is those flame projectiles.

Stay on your toes and keep shooting the Snail to emerge as the victor against Moonshine Mob in Cuphead’s Delicious Last Course. Congratulations, you know now how to win the Bootlegger Boogie- Moonshine Mob boss level easily.
