With every new seasonal update, Raven Software has been invigorating Warzone with new features, weapons, maps, and more. Caldera was the last significant addition to Warzone, albeit it failed to garner positive feedback from the community.
On the contrary, Rebirth Island was everyone’s go-to for a fast-paced battle royale experience. Moreover, it is the only map that features the resurgence game mode. However, to everyone’s surprise, Raven Software has announced a new map called Fortune’s Keep. Almost the same as Rebirth in size, the map is a resurgence-style map that will arrive in Warzone with the Season 4 update on June 22, 2022.
In addition to the new map, Season 4 will introduce new in-game events. The Cash Extraction Event is the latest addition to Warzone’s in-game events. Here’s everything we know about the new Cash Extraction event.

What is the Cash Extraction Event?
The event functions similarly to the plunder cash extraction, where players must extract their money. However, this event comes in with a twist on the original event as AI mercenaries will call in helicopters for cash extraction instead of players calling it in themselves.
Once the event begins, the tac map will show a flashing gold circle and money bag icon as the event starts. Simultaneously, a flare will be fired into the air to signal a helicopter that will rappel a black-and-gold bag down to the extraction site. As the event begins, a group of mercenaries will horde themselves around the bag.
Players can eliminate these mercenaries and plunder the bag by interacting with it to get Cash, Ammo, Armor, and Equipment. However, these mercenaries have multiple reinforcement waves, and that’s on top of not being the only squad of players in the lobby who may want these rewards. The event will occur multiple times in a single match, and the event’s timing will be similar to the circle timer.
Cash Extraction Event Release Date
According to Raven Software, the Cash Extraction Event will be arriving in Warzone shortly after the Season 4 update, which will start on June 22, 2022, at 9 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM BST. The official release date was revealed on June 15 as a part of the Fortune’s Keep map.
