Community Reaction to Fortune’s Keep
In a recent post on Reddit by u/phleep, the community weighed in with their takes on the new map. A user commented on the post stating how Rebirth haters will say this map is not good, but on the other hand, they were the ones wanting a new map in the initial stage.
On the other hand, a commenter stated how the inclusion of these smaller maps benefits the game. Moreover, considering Rebirth Island’s fame, fans hope the new map manages to reach its true potential.
Nonetheless, the community did not receive Caldera with open arms as it had vast open spaces and bad P.O.I.s in general. Besides, maps with tight sightlines are more prevalent in CoD titles as they encourage more dynamic gunfights.
Many players speculate that replacing Rebirth Island will cause problems in the long run. It has always been like this, and fans obsess over a map once it leaves the rotation.
Concerns about Fortune’s Keep
Fortune’s Keep raises many concerns, including a reduced player count. Taking the I.W. engine into account, it has problems cramming people in a small area. Reducing player count will be the only way for the map to function correctly.

Warzone Guru JGOD stated the same opinion in his recent video. Rebirth Island and low player count worked because of the constant gunfight nature of the map. However, Fortune’s Keep is a bigger map that will struggle with the constant gunfight issue.
Meta Changes
Obviously, the meta will change in the new map. As the map is a blend of Caldera and Rebirth Island, the gunfights will be a mixture of close-range and mid-range gunfights. Therefore, an S.M.G. and A.R. dominant meta will be a frequent change that is bound to happen with Vanguard’s season 4.
The new map will be released on June 22, 2022, with the Vanguard Season 4: Mercenaries of Future. It is only a matter of time to see if the community receives the new map with a pat on the back.
