In a recent tweet, Call of Duty officially teased that the fan-favorite voting feature is finally coming back with the release of Modern Warfare 3 (2023.)

Activision dropped the biggest bomb with the Modern Warfare 3 reveal trailer. The 2-year cycle of CoD cycle speculation was demolished by the developers when they unveiled the release date for MW3, which is set to be on November 10, 2023.

Many players are still skeptical about the game’s release, saying MW3 (2023) will be nothing more than a big update from MW2. However, with all the speculation, rumors, and upcoming content revelations, it seems like Modern Warfare 3 (2023) will have a lot to offer.

Just recently, players learned that Modern Warfare 3 will bring back all 16 original maps from the classic MW2. And now, Call of Duty has confirmed that the map voting feature will also return with MW3’s release.

Map Voting Feature Returning to MW3 (2023)

The map voting system has always been an important feature in Call of Duty multiplayer. With the help of this feature, players had the option to choose what map they wanted to play next.

Yet, with the release of Modern Warfare 2019, Activision removed this feature from the game for the first time ever. Players were pretty upset with the fact that the feature was taken away from them without any reason.

Since then, players have been asking the developers to bring the map voting feature back. However, players didn’t get it even with the release of MW2 (2019.) The hope of getting the map voting feature back was getting slim for the community until a recent tweet from Call of Duty teased it making a comeback with Modern Warfare 3.

With the MW3 reveal event coming up, Call of Duty teased many upcoming features through their secret SMS feature and Twitter handle. As you can see, CoD cleverly teased the map voting feature in the post, including the 16 classic maps from the original MW2 multiplayer.

With all the teasers and rumors about the map voting feature, Makarov, and Zombies mode returning, it looks like MW3 will not only meet but possibly exceed players’ expectations.
