A new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 trailer has teased the return of the infamous antagonist Makarov.
Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare franchise is one of the most played games worldwide. The original trilogy introduced many beloved characters like Captain Price, Ghost, Soap, and Gaz. These iconic characters then returned to the MW series’ reboot with Modern Warfare (2019).
While everyone has loved the good guys, MW’s infamous antagonist, Makarov, has managed to steal the spotlight every time. From Operation Kingfisher to No Russian, Makarov is finally returning with the release of Modern Warfare 3.

Makarov is Coming
The Modern Warfare reboot universe has brought back the band of brothers with Task Force 141’s best operators. Moreover, side characters like Nikolai and General Shephard have also found their way back to the cradle of TF 141.
Following the release of Modern Warfare 2, TF 141 moved to Mexico to go head-to-head against the Las Almas Cartel alongside Shephard’s Shadow Company. By the end of the campaign, Shadow Company betrays TF 141, and the plot moves towards Hadir. However, with the post-credit scene and the last part of Raid Episode 4, it is revealed that a ghost of the past is returning in the next game.
Sledgehammer Games has also released its Modern Warfare 3 teaser, revealing the infamous antagonist in all his glory. Makarov is officially the main antagonist of Modern Warfare 3. More intel on Makarov and the campaign will be available in the coming weeks.
