Call of Duty has officially revealed the beta dates for Modern Warfare 2. Here’s when the game goes live for beta testing.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s beta dates have officially been revealed. It was revealed during the season-ending CDL Championship weekend. Along with the Grand Prix map, players finally have the beta dates for the most anticipated game of 2022.
MW2’s early access and open beta will go live for PlayStation players first, then simultaneously for Xbox and PC platforms. The beta will be available on Steam, Battle.net, Xbox Store and PlayStation Store. Here are the all the beta dates of MW2’s multiplayer mode.

Beta Dates
PlayStation Exclusive Beta
- Early Access: September 16-17
- Open Beta: September 18-20
The first beta weekend is exclusive to PS4 and PS5 users. It will be available from Friday, September 16, starting at 10 AM PT, to Tuesday, September 20. PlayStation users can access the beta without a PS Plus subscription.
Crossplay Beta (PC + XBOX)
- Early Access: September 22-23
- Open Beta: September 23-26
- PS Open Beta: September 22-26 (Second Weekend)
The second beta weekend is open for all platforms. It will be available from Thursday, September 22, starting at 10 AM PT, to Monday, September 26. PlayStation, Xbox and PC players can play together during this period without any difficulties.

Players can pre-order the game to get early access to the beta. The game is available for pre-order digitally and at selected physical shops worldwide. Stay frosty as we count the days to get a first look at the most advanced Call of Duty title.
