NFL team LA Rams has allegedly leaked the multiplayer lobby and DMZ game mode of Modern Warfare 2. Here’s everything we know about the highly anticipated multiplayer and DMZ game mode.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the most anticipated game of 2022. Since its worldwide reveal in June, Infinity Ward has slowed down on the information dump for players. However, they have finally teased that more details about the game will be revealed at the CDL Championship event on August 7.
Amidst the rising hype, NFL player Cameron Dicker from LA Rams teased a screenshot of MW2’s multiplayer menu. Furthermore, his teammate Quentin Lake posted a video confirming DMZ game mode.

Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Lobby Leak
From Cameron Dicker’s screenshot, it’s visible that the lobby is a mix of MW (2019) and BOCW (2020). It shows the known tabs that are operators, barracks, and weapons. However, it is still unclear what the weapon loadout UI will look like and if there are operator factions.
DMZ Confirmed
Infinity Ward had plans to introduce a game mode similar to Escape from Tarkov titled “DMZ.” It was reportedly leaked that the” DMZ” game mode will be built on CoD’s basic game mechanics. The game mode aims to do something similar in a neutral zone where operatives fight for control over loot or resources. Subsequently, the game session will end upon reaching the designated extraction zone and extracting the loot or resources.
Another snippet from Cameron Dicker’s story has seemingly confirmed that DMZ is indeed present in the game. The game mode will be featured in the game’s upcoming beta.
Gameplay Leak
Another LA Rams player, Quentin Lake’s Instagram story, features a short glimpse of MW’s gameplay. Although the gameplay doesn’t reveal much, it is visible that an operator is running around with a Model 680, which is a staple shotgun featured in MW (2019).
Infinity Ward has not made any official announcements regarding the multiplayer mode. However, in a recent tweet, Call of Duty’s official Twitter account announced that more information regarding MW2 would be revealed in the upcoming CDL Championship Event on August 7, 2022.
