How to Manage Inventory in BG3

Inventory management is essential in Baldur’s Gate 3 to use all items and equipment. As an RPG, in-game items play a massive role in combat and story progression. However, when inventory becomes full, you cannot carry more. To keep your inventory in check, you have to manage it following these methods properly:

Sell Items to Merchants

Don’t hoard items in your inventory, as they take up space if not used for combat or other purposes. All items found during your expedition can be sold to village merchants and the first merchant near Emerald Gloves.

Merchants will provide you with the option to either Barter or Trade. While Trades will provide a fixed value in-game, the Barter option will give you more Gold. However, Bartering is a little complex for beginner players to grasp, requiring players to be more acquainted with the Merchants.

Storage Chests

If you’re far away from merchants and your inventory becomes full, use the Storage Chests. Storage Chests are located at the back of your camp. Head to the Storage Chest and click on it to put the unwanted items in it.

You can head to the Storage Chest later and remove your desired items. Additionally, you can select these items later and sell them to Merchants after finishing your expedition.

So, keep your inventory clean, as it will save you time and improve your gameplay experience.
