How to Speak to the Dead in BG3

Players can interact with dead bodies at any point in the game if they have a certain spell unlocked. However, not all dead bodies can be inanimated for a conversation. Dead bodies that still have a mouth left can be revived. However, if a body is killed through any magic damage, the body can no longer be revived. Moreover, one body can only be revived once throughout the game. Players can ask only five questions to each inanimated character. Here are all the ways the players can speak to the dead in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Speak With Dead Spell

The Speak with Dead Spell is only available for Cleric, Bard, and Wizard classes in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, some subclasses are also able to unlock this spell for free through leveling up. This spell can be cast on a body that has been killed in a normal way without receiving any kind of magic damage.

Amulet Of Lost Voices

Acquiring the Amulet of Lost Voices in Act 1 will also allow you to communicate with dead bodies. This item can be found on the north side of the Dank Crypt, in a room guarded by Entombed Acolytes. Once finishing off the enemies, head inside the secret room and open the sarcophagus. After a brief cut scene with an NPC, you will receive the Amulet of Lost Voices.
