Speak With Animals Spell
Players can use the Speak With Animals spell to communicate with the animals in the game. However, this spell can only be learned in the following classes.
- Barbarian (Wildheart only)
- Paladin (Oath of the Ancients only)
- Warlock (Beast Speech invocation only)
Potion of Animal Speaking
The Potion of Animal Speaking can also be used to speak with the animals in Baldur’s Gate 3. These potions can be bought from different merchant shops around the Forgotten Realm. Once consumed, the potion will remain active until the next long rest you take.
After being upgraded to Level 2, all Druid subclasses will acquire the Wild Shape spell. Using this spell will let the characters of this subclass transform into an animal of their choice. By transforming into an animal, players can easily communicate with the same species.
The easiest way to communicate with the animals is to pick a Gnome from the Forest subclass. The characters of this subclass have a default activated spell, which allows them to communicate with animals without taking any extra steps.
