With the draw out of the way, here are the best matchups of LoL Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage Round 2.

Worlds 2023 Swiss Stage Round 1 matches are over, as we have finally started with the main event. This is peak League of Legends on display, as we got some great matches today. While all of them are best of 1s, we still had some competitive games.

G2, WBG, GEN, LNG, and C9 dominated their matchups, showing off what they are made of. Meanwhile, T1 and JDG got the job done, but they were not as dominant. BLG vs KT was a huge back-and-forth match, as we expect from an LPL vs LCK matchup.

Overall, we had some good matches, and the meta for the main event is developing. Now, we move forward to Round 2, where we are getting a lot of rematches from the Regional Finals or the Playoffs. This was decided after a draw was held for Round 2.

As both images above highlight, we are at a point where the teams are starting to separate themselves into several brackets. Hence, Round 2 has some crucial matches for all the teams.

Thus, let’s highlight the best ones to watch on October 20 when Swiss Stage Round 2 starts.

Best Matchups of Swiss Stage Round 2

Like Round 1, Swiss Stage Round 2 will have 8 matches. This time around, the teams with similar records are facing each other, and that led to many matchups of the same region. So, while they are interesting matches, T1 vs GEN or BLG vs JDG doesn’t make it on this because we have seen it a billion times at this point (neither ended well for T1 and BLG).

Thus, here are our games to watch on Friday, which will be interesting to watch.

G2 Esports vs Weibo Gaming

Two teams that dominated their individual matchups in Round 1 are set to face each other. Both G2 and WBG took care of their counterparts in DK and NRG, respectively. This is the 2nd time both teams are facing a #4 Seed and #1 Seed, respectively.

G2 took care of DK, but Dplus KIA looked pretty grim on the day. At the same time, WBG took the game by storm by simply dominating everywhere. With two dominant wins, this will be a good match to watch to see if G2 can keep their streak or whether WBG can show how strong the LPL is in terms of team depth.

Match Time: October 20, 9 am GMT.

KT Rolster vs Dplus KIA

After a brutal loss for DK against G2, they face KT, a team that almost beat BLG. It is sad to see KT in this record bracket, considering how well they played for a lot of that game versus BLG. Alas, this is how the cookie crumbled for them, and they have to power through it.

It is even sadder that now one LCK team will be in the Elimination stretch of Bo3s. For DK, it is a string of bad draws as they try to find their footing, while KT proved they are a very good team, but things did not pan out how they hoped.

Both teams will be looking to bounce back and show the world how good they can be. It will be quite a spectacle to watch.

Match Time: October 20, 12 pm GMT.
