The franchise that everyone loves is getting better once more. Fans of the Battlefield franchise now have an alternative way to drop in, fight, and stay alive. Battlefield: RedSec is the free-to-play battle royale mode that promises the same chaotic, large-scale action, vehicles, and destruction of the environment that you expect. It’s almost upon us!
What is RedSec?
Battlefield Studios, which is part of Electronic Arts, has officially said that the new mode, RedSec, short for “Redacted Sector,” will be a free-to-play game on its own instead of being locked behind the core Battlefield 6 game modes.
It will be available on PCs, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It has the same name and theme as the leaked information about Battlefield’s first major Season update. It is marketed as a big experience featuring squads, vehicles, and the destruction and mechanics that the franchise is known for.
