Azir, Twisted Fate, Nunu, and Talon are getting nerfs on patch 10.19, ahead of the Worlds 2020.

League of Legends’ lead gameplay designer Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has previewed the Worlds patch today. And it seems like some champions who have high influence in the pro games like Azir and Twisted Fate are getting nerfs in the upcoming patch 10.19 along with Nunu and Talon. Additionally, Riot Games is also nerfing Caitlyn and Senna ADC ahead of the World 2020 patch.

Azir Nerf Patch 10.19

  • W: Passive bonus attack speed: 20-60 >>> 10-50%

Due to his massive influence in the recent pro games, it was pretty much destined that Azir will be getting some significant nerfs in the Worlds patch. In the Summer 2020 split, Azir had a massive 44.8% presence across all major regions. Although his win rate is just 46.6%, he has been picked in 605 games where he was banned in 550 games.

His state in the solo queue however is very miserable. Currently, on patch 10.18, Azir only has a 46.61% win rate which is one of the lowest in the game with just a 2.0% pick rate. But despite his poor performance in the solo queue, Riot is nerfing him in patch 10.19 ahead of the Worlds.

Twisted Fate Nerf Patch 10.19

  • Movement speed: 335 >>> 330

Twisted Fate is also having the same fate as Azir because of his high presence in the pro games. In the Summer split, he has a 51% presence but unlike Azir, Twisted Fate has an astonishing 59.1% win rate across all major regions. And if he goes to the Worlds untouched there is a high chance that he would make some significant impact, therefore, Riot is nerfing him in patch 10.19.

Nunu and Talon are removed from the patch 10.19 nerf list. Riot Scruffy said, “We got some more 10.18 data and Talon and Nunu are actually not as strong as they previously appeared (both nerfs removed).”

All these new changes will hit the live servers on patch 10.19, which is scheduled for Wednesday, Sep 16, 2020.
