You get access to this tool relatively early, but it remains effective throughout the game, and you will be able to get a lot of use out of it. You can use it to one-shot enemies from a short distance, immobilize them during combat, and much more.

This guide focuses on the Throwing Knife, how to unlock it, its uses, and its best upgrades.

How to Unlock Throwing Knife

You can unlock the Throwing Knife very early in the main story. After finishing the prologue, you will taken back to the Hidden Ones bureau in Baghdad, where you will meet one of the Bana Musa siblings. He will familiarize you with the basics of tools and give you your first two, the Throwing Knife and a Torch.

How to Use Throwing Knife

The throwing knife has the following stats:

  • Ammo: 4
  • Damage: 60
  • Range: 18 m

The Throwing Knife should see a lot of use throughout your playthrough as it is highly effective in a variety of situations in both stealth and combat.

You can use it to instantly kill enemies with a headshot from a short distance. Though this is most useful while in stealth, as you can take time to line up your aim, it can also be helpful in direct combat if you have a lot of enemies attacking you or you need to end the fight quickly.

You can also use it to stun heavily armored enemies. Throwing a knife at their feet will pin them to the ground, and you’ll be able to kill them easily.

One of the most useful aspects of the throwing knife is the ability to interact with objects in the environment. You can destroy alarms in outposts so that enemies can’t call for reinforcements, hit sacks of dust to create a Smoke Bomb, and hit flaming objects to ignite them and instantly kill anyone close,

Furthermore, if you have the Chain Assassination skill, you can use the throwing knife to kill an additional enemy from a distance after assassinating your first.
