Ubisoft revealed the potential release date for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title.
French video game publisher Ubisoft has stated that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will be released by the end of March 2025. In Ubisoft’s latest earnings results, CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that the studio plans to release the next mainline Assassin’s Creed title before the end of the 2025 fiscal year.
In addition, Guillemot added that the highly anticipated Star Wars Outlaws, the open-world game from Massive Entertainment, will be released in 2024. Guillemot stated that despite the poor performance of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Ubisoft is expecting a good Q4 thanks to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Skull and Bones.

Codename Red Will Be Released in March 2025
According to CEO Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft’s upcoming mainline Assassin’s Creed title, Codename Red, will be released before the end of fiscal year 2025. Codename Red will be set in feudal Japan and will feature two playable characters, a Samurai and a Shinobi.
Codename Red will focus on stealth gameplay, featuring a female Samurai, and the male protagonist will based on the real-life African Samurai called Yasuke. The game previously targeted a Fall 2024 release window; however, Ubisoft revealed the new release date in the company’s most recent earnings results.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will be developed at Ubisoft Quebec, the studio that worked on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. On the other hand, Codename Hexe, which is set in 16th-century Europe, is targeting a 2026 launch. Ubisoft announced Codename Red was announced at Ubisoft forward in September 2022 alongside Codename Hexe, Codename Jade, and Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
