ARC Raiders has seen a big jump in activity following its Frozen Trail update, reaching an estimated 1.7 million daily active players on October 14. The peak arrived two days after its free weekend ended, with players continuing to jump in after the promotion wrapped up.
According to Alinea Analytics, the renewed interest also brought more game sales and cosmetic spending, giving Embark’s extraction shooter a strong October.
In brief:
- ARC Raiders reportedly reached 1.7 million daily active players across platforms on October 14.
- Around 150,000 new players tried the game during the free weekend.
- Another 150,000 copies sold in the three days afterward, generating nearly $3 million.
- Steam cosmetic collector sets brought in an estimated $2 million during October at the time of the report.
ARC Raiders Player Count Climbs After Frozen Trail

Before Frozen Trail, ARC Raiders was still attracting around 500,000 daily active players, according to Alinea’s estimates. Its October peak puts daily activity at roughly 3.4 times that earlier level.
These figures measure players active over an entire day across platforms. They should be read separately from Steam’s concurrent player count, which tracks how many people are playing simultaneously.
Frozen Trail arrived on October 8 alongside the free-play promotion. The update gave existing players fresh content to explore while newcomers had an opportunity to try the game before buying it.
Player Activity Stayed Strong After the Free Weekend

The timing of the peak is encouraging for Embark. ARC Raiders reached 1.7 million daily players on October 14, after free access ended on October 12.
Alinea also highlighted the PvE test that began on October 13 as part of the renewed interest. With new content, a discount and the test arriving close together, several developments gave players reasons to return. The available figures do not isolate how much each contributed.
ARC Raiders Adds Millions in Game and Cosmetic Sales
The free weekend attracted roughly 150,000 new players. Separately, Alinea estimates that ARC Raiders sold another 150,000 copies during the three days after the promotion, bringing in nearly $3 million.
Cosmetics added another revenue boost. Alinea’s Steam DLC estimates put October spending on bundled collector sets at approximately $2 million as of its October 16 report, with the Frozen Trail Collector Set accounting for around three-quarters.
These are third-party estimates, and the cosmetic figure specifically covers Steam collector bundles. Even with that scope, the numbers suggest October’s return to ARC Raiders translated into substantial spending alongside busier servers.
